Work went as usual yesterday. Lunch was sponsored by Jamba Juice. It was a healthy break from the rest of the stuff I find around westwood village. That cold soothing flavored ice slid down so smoothly, and was so delightful on this warm Spring day. Now this is the first time this happended, but I got hungry right after I finished. Usually I'll be good the rest of the day with a smoothie from Jamba Juice. It was the first time, in a long time that I experienced true hunger. It was more than just a fast-sunday hinger. Around 3 or 4 I even thought of going and getting something else somewhere, but I didn't.
It was an average day for the runner today. The 18 minute mark has become my enemy as of today; no matter how good I feel about a run, its always the same. I really think that someone is tampering with my digital clock inside my car while I am out frollicing about Brentwood. So, while running, being in a more advance running state was able to keep up for a bit longer with the Campion Gazelle that I was with, but as we turned the second corner (uphill side) it was quite different. I kept at my same pace, which I felt good about, I was left in the dust. It was like going from regular street speed traffic to freeway speed traffic, I was simply the onlooker commuting in the bus in the slow lane it seemed like. But anyway, for me i did just as good as I have been. I don't feel like I've graduated from the Antelope kingdom yet, but I'm working on it. This time I noticed more of my fellow Antelope, springing about the wild planes. There were groups of them all over the place. I'd have to be careful to see them as their heads and torso's would bounce up and down from beneath the eye line of the tall grasses that hid the ground plane so well. I passed a lot of people, like usual, but today I got passed by a tree creature who was tall and lenky, had nerdy glasses, a mop on his head, a polo shirt, swimming trunks, and skater shoes. Its the first time I've seen one of his kind. It didn't appear that he was there to run, it looked as if he was running away from someone, or something. Interesting... I haven't seen as many of the ninja lately either, that is a good thing.
Upon my arrival back to the safe neighborhood of my own, Jessica phoned me and needed help moving a couch. This was the couch from the garage sale that no one knew we were supposed to sell. Not to brag, but I was like the incredible hulk, as I swooped the couch up with a single stroke, and whirrled it to its final destination, 50 yards down the street. There were no birds out otherwise I would have started swatting birds out of the sky with this couch. It landed in front of some random person's garage. We were hoping that the owner of the garage will find it in his best interest to call for a trash clean-up. Then I talked Jessica into going to Cafe 50's with me. We had breakfast and shakes. Mmmm Mmmm good. I think Pancakes are an 'every time of the day' type food. As well as ice cream. and chocolate. and BBQ Chicken Pizza from BJ's. and thats about it. We ended up gossiping about everything. That is half of my new calling you know, i have to be in the know.
I ran into Renee as well, just on the street by jessica's. It was only after she noticed that I was all sweaty and gross that I decided to give her a big hug, and swing her around like a teddy bear. She is a little liberal cannonball afterall.
I stopped by jeff's place. As I walked in it was like a meeting of the minds huddle at the table, between jeff, josh, and trisha. I think I walked in on a 'private' discussion they were having. I think it was about me. I can tell those sorts of things you know. They were probably discussing my stunning features and chisled abs, and so on. Evan was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He had a paper to write by midnight, and he still had lots to do. So in other words, NOTHING NEW. At least once a month I'll go over and he'll be yelling at someone, who will be at fault for something, and he won't want to talk about it, but he'll yell about it anyway. It would seem that the teacher assigned a 20 page paper that day, due by midnight the way he talks about it, but oh no, he actually had weeks to work on it, but he chose to watch tv, or sleep, or eat, or hang-out, or (anything else) instead. He was being grouchy so I told him that only people who pay rent are allowed to be grouchy to favored guests, like me :) (he's staying there till the wedding, and dosen't feel like paying rent in that time.) we all (josh, jeff, trish, and I) went to Carvel for Ice Cream. The guy at Carvel is in love with trisha, its obvious. She was in denial. Luckily for her I was there to give him her number, oh, but she dosen't know about that yet. Hehehe.
Then they somehow talked me into going and watching a DVD at my place that I just got. it was of a comedian, so it was funny, but I was honestly ready to go to bed at 10, and now at 11:30, it was getting hard to stay conscious.
I'm listening to Nelly Furtado right now.
Lunch was sponsored by Rite Aid's Ice Cream counter, and Rocky road, and Butter Pecan. Can you believe they have a 'Butter' flavored Ice cream?! its pretty grand.

Daily Update
I woke up to another successful morning. The success was that I actually rolled my lazy 'can' out of bed by 7:45. One of the old guys pointed out, in amazement yesterday that I was at work by 8:30 am. And frankly I agreed with him. But its good for the work. (the head boss [Dan] just bought a boat. a sailboat I believe. he had to take yesterday off to sail it from San Diego to Marina Del Ray. OH, the hard life. Its funny cause he has tons of sailboat magazines, posters, calendars, postcards, books, etc. Same with Porsche stuff too.)
So, I don't want to be gross, but I found this fascinating. I was walking into the bathrooms at my work, when I noticed a pile of what I thought were feathers in the toilet. It wasn't anything that was supposed to be in a toilet was my first impression. And after further investigation I determined that the grouping must have been a dead bird! For a second I hypothesized that one of my fellow workers was hiding evidence. of a smash and run, but then I thought that it could be the remnants of a pigeon that was stuck in a fan, but all this study came in less than a second, so a lot of 'filling in the blanks' was done. Needless to say I didn't use that bathroom for a few more hours.
Lunch at Marvin's. running to ash tray for change for lunch. Luckily the treasure hunting Kristen found about 12 dollars in change on the floor of my car the last time she was in back seat. I am ever so grateful.
Running took another 18 minutes today. Man was I upset about it.
I got another book today, origins of Chinese fairy tales. and my Brian Regan dvd.
TV at greenfield.
up to late again.

Daily Update
The weather is getting hotter and hotter. I'm almost beside myself. Here I sit in my room, just after midnight, and its still really warm in my room. I might have to break out my fan already. I was hoping to wait a few weeks, but why should I sacrafice comfort, for an electricity bill?!
Work was the same as its been. nothing new to report. I'm the first one there, and the last to leave so far this week. I suppose thats good, cause its been 11 months since I started there. It dosen't hurt to impress the bosses right before a one year review.
I went Running again. I started at 7:30 and ended at 7:48. Another 18 minutes. No improvement yet. I'll average the best time I get until thrusday I think to get the best of time. Its cheating, but it will work just the same. As I started out I could feel the pains of atrophy leaving my muscles. I decided not to loosen up, or stretch before hand. I immediatly regretted that decision, but couldn't go back on it cause I also had to follow pony-tail girl. It was her and someone else. I followed the guy for quite a ways(sp?). I was doing good while starting out; we
were about 50 yards apart. when we got to the up hill side we were then about 30 yards apart. but my-oh-my, it quickly changed. I need to fit in a regiment of up-hill training now. I think that is my weak point. It used to be just opposite, but i'm a Lance Armstrong no longer. Although I felt like someone was running right behind me holding me back with giant bungie cords, you know, like you use when training for a track race. I wasnt' sure if that was due to my legs being cold, or some evil spirit trying to do me in. I tried to ignore the situation, and just as usual it went away. Again I was the young Springbok from the Sarengheti planes, rising thru the ranks of oppression, fighting off his enemies and challengers from his own kind. Although many others tried to pass him, the only passing happened when they were going the other direction. As a sprinbok, the finish line was at the highest point that I could see. So as I headed up hill, I was determined to concure all.
I attempted to go to Floyd's, its a Hair-cuttery, they told me I wasn't pretty enough to have my hair cut there; or it was closing time. one of the two. Its a funky place and they're open late, and the first time I went there, one of the hair cutters was totally into me, but I was just playin it cool. Ahhh (sigh of accomplishment).
Jeff and I went to Panda Express. Mmmm, talk about great food. I'm sure glad that the chinese can come up with such great recipies for jim. You know, like the Orange Chicken, fried rice, and Fortune cookies. I'm sure they serve that on every street corner in China. I can't wait to go and see it, and live it, for myself. The place that I mostly go has a crazy little asian lady working there, and she chatters like a squirrel when she talks. She laughed at me today when I called her Sir. Don't worry I corrected myself. I was very apoligetic because she hadn't served my food
yet. All I could think of was her spilling the 'super-duper-anti-whitie Hot sauce' on my food when I wasnt' looking.
I got home kind of early, compaired to what I normally do. my intentions were to clean my room, and write emails. some important ones, some not so important ones. But that didn't all work out. my telephone and computer got in the way though. I got a little to involved with project research. I can't tell you what my project is cause I think Renee is still listening. I'll tell you all about it on Monday after I unsubscribe her from my list.
I think my arms have started to peel from my slight sunburn. I'm kind of annoyed a bout that. It could also be from not showering in 5 days. (Ha, just kidding Brand-jolina.) (its from the sun, I assure you). I might have to start using sun screen agian.
Oh, and another thing I forgot. When Me and the girls were having lunch a few days go, it was funny when walking back to my work, i was being escorted by Kami and Jessica's twin sister. But while walking we passed Tor, from my office. I said Hi, and smiled as I kept going. I didn't think anything of it until after HE got back from lunch and was telling everyone else in the office that I have lunch with super-models. Ya, it was good for my ego. Now, I thought he only saw us crossing the street, but as impressed as he was he may have seen the whole group of us
earlier during our luncheon.

I'm still looking for a sponsor for lunch.

Weekend Update
Right now I am thinking that I may have an idea of what the Pioneers felt like after my adventures this weekend.
A burnt, hungry, tattered figure sits in his chair typing away, while the rest of his office clicks away on their mouses, doing work, listening to music, or talking on the phone. The slurping sound echoes in his orange juice cup as he tries to sip
down some 'healthiness' before his shaking body goes into 'sick' mode. It has already started down that path, but by pumping vitamins into his system he hopes to pull to a quicker recovery. He's leaning back in his chair, feet up onto the chair next to him. Even imagining the sensation of relief as the blood eases out of his feet is relaxing, but even to use his neighbor's chair as a footstool is just bliss. That is how he tries to spend most of his day, ignoring the world falling to shambles around him. He opens his eyes in order to fight back the sleep that is attacking, and again he starts to click like the rest of them.
Friday night started early, it was around lunch time on friday when me and the girls went to lunch. We went to BJ's. Mmmm. You all can probably guess that I got BBQ Chicken Pizza. Jen was our waitress. Thats prob. why it took so long. I'm sure she emembered me from before. How can you not remember me at any resturaunt? I say that my night started early because I was pretty worthless after lunch time. I left at the stroke of 6, which I felt really good about, but I'm pretty sure that they didn't like it. Jessica and her Stunt Double and I were going to go to a movie, but then at the last minute, a few other people wanted to come, but later. So we postponed our adventure till later. That was actually great, cause we then had a chance to hang out a bit, catch my breath, and also go shopping. At the store someone mentioned Rice Kispy Treats, and after I realized it wasn't code talk for anything, I thought it was a GREAT idea. So we landed back at Jessica's flat to make these delightsome morsles of goodness. With a little help from Brandzilla these treats turned out spectacular. I could hardly contain myself. And as an
added bonus I also purchaced M&M's to throw in the mix, after all, these were for the Bake sale the next day, and I was going for the kids attention. while the parents would check out the clothes, the kids could check out the treat table, then run to their parents and cry if they wouldn't buy. It was brilliant.
After the Garage sale, the remaning faithful kids put everything away, and/or took it all to Goodwill. I didn't realize how exhausted I was until I tried to eat lunch afterward with Renee. I was literally to tired to eat. I would stare blankly at my
burrito, and wonder to myself , what is this thing in front of me, and what is the most energy efficient way of ingesting it. Almost to tired to talk, I thought of any other way than chewing. But there was no other way.
In my utterly kaputt state, I was reminded of a duty that Josh passed to me while he was at his track meet. He asked me to prep the stake-center for the baptism that evening. I had about 10-15 min. to get home, change, shower, sleep, anything else, so it happened quick. Jimmy was using the shower to dry stuff, so that got ruled out. Clothes were mostly in a pile on my floor, so that was quick, and by then I was already running late. And traffic was slow. When it rains it pours, right. But it went well. Lots of people were late, so it wasn't all that bad.
Then after rushing everyone out of the building, and apparently its the temporary-stand-in Ward Mission Leaders job to clean up to, so I had to do that. then kicked the missionaries out, then raced over to my place to get ready for Renee's Party.
It was a delightful party. Lots of people. good amounts of food. It all worked out as we all had planned. Good Job team. A special thanks to: Kristen for hosting, Trisha for the flowers, Michelle for the projector, Dan for the music, Russ Rob and Jim for the performance, Jessica for the slideshow, and Renee for the
reason. And anyone else too. It lasted late into the night, like usual.
(for those of you who wern't there: its started quietly, but it was 'happening' by 8:30. We had a picutre slide show of mostly embarrasing pics of Renee, which was projected onto the wall/ceiling. I had painted a poster-paint mural that said
"welcome to Oregon" which lots of people signed. We passed around papers that are/will be put in a picture book for renee. Dan played his chick-magnet guitar. and Russ Rob and I did a reinactment of The Gong Show, except Renee was the Girl,
and I was the guy. Lets face it I was the only one who could have made it that akward for her:) Oh was it good. She was really nervous, and I was totally playing into it. then at the end I attacked her with 'attempted' smooches. I completly went 95% of the way, but she didn't feel like I was worth the 5% I guess, so nothing happened [although I made sure it looked like there was from everyone elses angle]. I'll admit it, it wasn't me, it was her. Right renee. I actually got nervous when Russ started singing, cause I saw a LOT of cameras come out cause they all knew that funnieness was upon them. The way I compensated was to just act up on the couch more with Nay-nay. So it all worked out.
They finally announced the long awaited Relief Society Pres. position. Congradulations Trisha. I think that just means that she's going to tell me not to be mean as much. But its just as Renee said, when they called her name, it totally made sense. And her name was on the Ballot that I had going, so I was happy.
Sunday night the Church after party was another Going Away party celebrating Ryan Tait's departure. Tim made donuts, which were great. But after talking for a while, we had the follow-up party at Greenfield. There we took a moment to celebrate the invention of chocolate milk, and Nesquick. Again it lasted late into the night. We also met the new roomate. She's cool, so sofar we're doing OK with the replacements that are coming in. We just havent' met Evan's replacement yet. Josh and I are/were planning a devious way to tease both he and jeff with, by filling his head full of scary stories before jeff met him, but there's still time,
ha ha ha.
(I only have 12 min. before its a day late. I gotta go. I hope I didn't leave to
much out.)
ps. I took Kristen off the 'Daily Update' list, so don't tell her about anything I say please. Thanks.

After the Garage sale, the remaining faithful kids put everything away, and/or took it all to Goodwill. I didn't realize how exhausted I was until I tried to eat lunch afterward with Renee. I was literally to tired to eat. I would stare blankly at my burrito, and wonder to myself , what is this thing in front of me, and what is the most energy efficient way of ingesting it.
A special thanks to: Kristen for hosting, Trisha for the flowers, Michelle for the projector, Dan for the music, Russ Rob and Jim for the performance, Jessica for the slideshow, and Renee for the reason. And anyone else too. It lasted late into the night, like usual.
(for those of you who weren't there: its started quietly, but it was 'happening' by 8:30. We had a picture slide show of mostly embarrassing pics of Renee, which was projected onto the wall/ceiling. I had painted a poster-paint mural that said "welcome to Oregon" which lots of people signed. We passed around papers that are/will be put in a picture book for Renee. Dan played his chick-magnet guitar. and Russ Rob and I did a reenactment of The Gong Show, except Renee was the Girl, and I was the guy. Lets face it I was the only one who could have made it that awkward for her:) Oh was it good. She was really nervous, and I was totally playing
into it. then at the end I attacked her with 'attempted' smooches. I completely went 95% of the way, but she didn't feel like I was worth the 5% I guess, so nothing happened [although I made sure it looked like there was from everyone else's' angle]. I'll admit it, it wasn't me, it was her. Right Renee. I actually got nervous when Russ started singing, cause I saw a LOT of cameras come out cause they all knew that funniness was upon them. The way I compensated was to just act up on the couch more with Nay-nay. So it all worked out.
They finally announced the long awaited Relief Society Pres. position. Congratulations Trisha.
She's cool, so so-far we're doing OK with the replacements that are coming in. We just havent' met Evan's replacement yet. Josh and I are/were planning a devious way to tease both he and jeff with, by
filling his head full of scary stories before Jeff met him, but there's still time, ha ha ha.
(I only have 12 min. before its a day late. I gotta go. I hope I didn't leave to much out.)
ps. I took Kristen off the 'Daily Update' list, so don't tell her about anything I say please. Thanks.
A burnt, hungry, tattered figure sits in his chair typing away, while the rest of his office clicks away on their mouses, doing work, listening to music, or talking on the phone. The slurping sound echoes in his orange juice cup as he tries to sip down some 'healthiness' before his shaking body goes into 'sick' mode.
That's prob. why it took so long. I'm sure she remembered me from before. How can you not remember me at any restaurant? I say that my night started early because I was pretty worthless after lunch time. I left at the stroke of 6, which I felt really good about, but I'm pretty sure that they didn't like it. Jessica and her Stunt Double and I were going to go to a
movie, but then at the last minute, a few other people wanted to come, but later. So we postponed our adventure till later. That was actually great, cause we then had a chance to hang out a bit, catch my breath, and also go shopping. At the store someone mentioned Rice Krispy Treats, and after I realized it wasn't code talk for anything, I thought it was a GREAT idea. So we landed back at Jessica's flat to make these delight some morsels of goodness. With a little help from a phone call to Brandzilla, these treats turned out spectacular. I could hardly contain myself. And as an added bonus I also purchased M&M's to throw in the mix, after all, these were for the Bake sale the next day, and I was going for the kids attention. while the parents would check out the clothes, the kids could check out the treat table, then run to their parents and cry if they wouldn't buy.
